One Mind Dharma runs all groups on a donation-basis. This means that all may attend regardless of ability or willingness to pay. We keep our groups run on generosity for a few simple reasons:
- We believe that nobody should be turned away for lack of funds or financial situation.
- Donation-based teachings are rooted in Buddhist tradition, and we believe the teachings offered should be done so as intended.
- Individuals may not want to commit to paying, and a registration fee can hinder one’s willingness to join.
As such, all groups are supported by the generosity of community members. Donations are received in two ways: via PayPal and Patreon. You may find donation links and information at https://oneminddharma.com/donate/.
PayPal is for individuals who wish to make a one-time donation. Individuals can use a card or their PayPal account to make a donation quickly and easily. The link is OneMindDharma.com/paypal.
Patreon is a platform that allows individuals to pledge a set amount every month. With different pledge amounts, individual receive benefits that we at One Mind Dharma handle. This link is Patreon.com/oneminddharma.
For teachers with One Mind Dharma, we have set up a simple breakdown of donations to support both the teacher’s time and One Mind Dharma’s efforts and time in marketing, hosting, and utilizing our existing audience.
For donations received via Paypal for your group, you will receive 75%. One Mind Dharma will collect a maximum of $20 per group. That is, if you receive $150 in donations, One Mind Dharma will collect $20 instead of 25%.
For individuals who join via Patreon, teachers receive a flat 50% from their Patrons every month. If four individuals come to your group and join at the $20 level, you will receive $40/month (in addition to PayPal donations).
Payments will be made at the end of every month, and a breakdown will be provided. We can pay via wire transfer, PayPal, or Venmo.
